About Us

A total of 1 Fire Chief, 4 Battalion Chiefs, 12 Captains, a Fire Marshal, an Accountant, an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, a Public Education Officer, an Administrative Assistant, and a Historian. Along with the supportive staff, we have 21 Firefighter/Paramedics. Staffing is divided into three, shifts with 14 personnel on each shift. Shift personnel work a 48/96 schedule. The Woodside Fire District operates three fire stations, and serves a population of 25,000.

WFPD participates in many annual events, which include: The Fire Prevention Fair, Canada College KinderCaminata, WFPD Christmas Open House, May Day Parade, Environment Festival, Woodside Elementary Pancake Breakfast, San Mateo County Fair, Canada College Olive Festival, and the Flu Clinic.
