When disaster strikes, communication matters. Cell service and internet may fail, but two-way radios keep our neighborhoods connected. WPV-Ready Communicators are trained volunteers who use handheld radios to relay critical information between their neighbors, WPV-CERT, and the Woodside Fire Protection District.
If you live or work within the Woodside Fire Protection District, this class is your opportunity to become part of a dedicated community network that supports real-time information sharing during emergencies.
Training Includes:
-
How the local Ready Net works
-
Radio operations & handheld techniques
-
Standard message forms & proper radio etiquette
-
