Ready Communicators are trained neighbors who use simple two-way radios to share real-time information between WPV-Ready Nodes, CERT, and the Fire District. It’s a practical, low-barrier way to play a meaningful role in your community’s emergency response.

You don’t need any prior experience — just a willingness to learn and be part of something that truly makes a difference.

During this training, you’ll learn how to:

• Use handheld radios with confidence
• Send and receive clear, useful messages
• Connect your neighborhood to the broader WPV-Ready network
• Understand your role during an emergency activation

This isn’t about being an expert — it’s about being prepared and connected. In an emergency, reliable information helps people make better decisions and reduces confusion and stress.
