This new interactive community map is a powerful tool designed to give you instant, personalized wildfire readiness information for your specific property. By simply entering your address, you can access a wealth of data to help you protect your home and connect with your neighborhood’s safety network.

How it Works

Getting started is easy:

  1. Enter your address in the search bar.

  2. Locate your parcel on the map.

  3. Explore your data to see exactly where you stand within the fire district.

Information at Your Fingertips

The map provides specific details tailored to your exact location, including:

  • Inspection Zone: Identify your assigned zone for home assessments and defensible space compliance.

  • Firewise Status: See if your home is part of a recognized Firewise USA® community.

  • Responding Fire Station: Know exactly which station serves your home in an emergency.

  • Area Fire Inspector: Get the contact information for the inspector dedicated to your neighborhood.

  • Direct Scheduling: Use the map links to schedule your home assessment or book a Real Estate Fire Safety Disclosure Inspection for property sales.

Stay Prepared with EPiC

This map is just the beginning. It integrates directly with our EPiC (Emergency Preparedness in Communities) organization to provide ongoing support through:

  • WPV Ready: Serving the entire Woodside Fire Protection District—including Woodside, Portola Valley, Emerald Hills, Ladera, Los Trancos, Skyline, and Vista Verde. WPV Ready provides the education and resources necessary to ensure every individual and neighborhood is prepared for wildland fires and earthquakes.

  • WPV CERT: Get involved with our Community Emergency Response Team to gain life-saving skills for major disasters. The Woodside Portola Valley Community Emergency Response Team supports our community’s ability to respond and recover after a disaster. Volunteers learn to assist neighbors when emergency responders may not be immediately available. They train together, organize resources, and maintain backup communication systems to help when called upon.

Pro Tip: If your property isn't in a current inspection cycle, you can still use the map to find your area inspector and request a voluntary home assessment to get a head start on safety!
