⚠ Effective July 1, 2026 — New Fees Apply

Notice of Updated Fee Schedule

Effective July 1, 2026, the Woodside Fire Protection District will implement an updated fee schedule for all Bureau of Fire Prevention and Life Safety services. These adjustments are consistent with industry standard practice: when California Building Code and Fire Code cycle changes take effect, agencies update their fees to reflect the revised scope of review, inspection requirements, and administrative processes those code changes introduce.

To ensure fees remain equitable and fully cost-recoverable, the District conducted a comprehensive fee study. The study evaluated the actual staff time, materials, and overhead associated with each service. The resulting fee schedule reflects those findings and ensures the District can continue to deliver thorough, timely fire prevention and life safety services to our community. In the interest of transparency, the full fee study is available for public review: 2026 Fee Study Report.

Fees associated with issued construction permits include one (1) plan review and (2) inspections, unless otherwise noted. Additional inspections or re-submittals are subject to supplemental fees as listed. To avoid denied submittals, applicants are encouraged to review our Standards and Guidelines for specific details and installation requirements prior to submission. click here
