The Woodside Fire Protection District has actively identified wildfire-related hazards within our jurisdictional boundaries. With the launch of the Woodside Fire's Vegetation Management Program, we initiated numerous projects and programs aimed at safeguarding the residents within the District.

Please note: The Woodside Fire Protection District has adopted local fire ordinances—such as Fuel Mitigation Ordinance No. 24-01 and the Prevention Fire Code Ordinance—that are tailored to our community’s wildfire risk. These ordinances govern all properties in our District. While state law sets minimum standards, our local ordinances are the rules that apply here, supersede state law and are enforced to keep our community safe. CalFire: Building a Fire-Ready Future.

CalFire has an amazing website breaking down how to Get Ready for Wildfire, (Prepare Yourself, Your Property and Evacuation). In addition, they have launched a firePlanner. This builds out a Wildfire Preparedness Plan customized to you. Based on your answers, your personalized preparedness plan has been created!
